but it is repetitive to some other goals.

So I am determined…by May I will be at least 20 pounds lighter.
I am putting together an eating plan today which I will start on tomorrow. I have already established that I don’t eat the wrong foods, necessarily, I just have portion distortion…I’m reading a book called “Winning by Losing” by Jillian Michaels (the tough coach from Biggest Loser) and is really motivating me.
I figure that I have about 30 pounds to lose (that would bring me down to 135 but I’ll start with 20 first).
I already have some pieces actively in place…I participate in Pilates class once per week and I run 3 times per week & am training myself to be able to run a 5K in March so I’ll just have to add in more exercise and better (read “less”) eating to achieve my goal.
Here goes…wish me luck!
Just signed up for a running clinic that will begin in the new year. It’s a 10 week, women only, ‘Learn to Run’ clinic that should have me prepped for a 5k by the end of it.
My husband is so impressed (since he is a lifetime runner – and a very good one at that).
Now I’ve got myself doing running and pilates in the new year.
Cheers to getting fit!
Signed up for winter classes.
Looove pilates!
Last night, three different ladies called me “Ms. Flexible”
I couldn’t help but smile.
Hubby thought it was neat too ;)
Hallowe’en & my will power both suck!
I can’t have chocolate in the house, obviously, or it just calls out to me…
I am starting again tomorrow to watch what I eat…
Okay, I’m really doing well on this, I think.
I have walked quite a bit in the last while (5 miles one day, 3 miles two days later, and 2 miles after that…in addition to my pilates class.
I’m going to walk tomorrow too – after I get some grocery shopping done – sans children!
No more lame excuses… every day I will do some form of exercise. I want to be healthy and a positive role model for my children (and I also want to lose 20lbs!)
I did a walking video the other day because my hubby was working late so I just popped that in while the kids were sleeping and I did the equivalent to a 4 mile walk.
Now, of course, being outside is preferable but when you can’t make it… this sort of thing will work out just fine.
Had my second last Pilates class last night.
I love Pilates.
I registered for a short Summer session in July and will hopefully continue with it in the Fall.
I really have no excuse.
I was doing really well. I still take Pilates but me eating is not as great. I don’t eat fatty or fried foods or chips or chocolate bars but I did make homemade fudge two days ago and I had a good taste of it yesterday.
I know, I know… I shouldn’t make it so that there is no temptation but I always find a reason for baking. There’s always some occasion. I really have to cut this out.
I’m at the higher end of my normal weight range for my height so I’m not obese by any means but I am aiming to be at the lower end of the weight range (like I was before kids).
I seem to like eating too much… my favourite is Source yogurt with Harvest Crunch granola and berries on top… mmmm, just thinking about it is making me hungry.
