read every book I own

10 months since the last entry how many more books since then ? 30-40 ?

Last week I was dropping off some unwanted goods at Value Village when I decided to browse inside. I ended up walking out with 7 more books: A 7 language dictionary which covers 4 of my 5 languages, Seinlanguage written by Gerry Seinfeld, Rainbow 6 by Tom Clancy whom I would never give my money to based on his militaristic right wing views but buying the book second hand is fine since it was the basis for a computer game I used to play and he wont see a cent from it. Also purchased was a Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Something Wicked This way Comes by Ray Bradbury, A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking to whom I wish a speedy recovery from his current bout of illness and finally The Silence Of the Lambs; an unpretentious, thrilling and quick read. It might the best book I’ve ever read.

8 months ? It’s already been 8 months since I commented on this ? I’ve probably purchased 20 books while being prudish about purchasing books. On a good note just this past Tuesday I stopped at an outlet mall after a 17 hour drive and purchased Old Canadian Cemeteries for 29.99. I had seen it tucked away on a top shelf in back of Chapters retailing for 75.00$!

The girl at the counter said it was an excellent book and we exchanged a few thoughts on the topic. As I left my friend simply said “your soul mate” I laughed and slept for most of the remaining 3 hours of the ride home.

Why do I keep acquiring more books ! I can never read them all.

This is getting harder and harder, I purchased 10 books yesterday and I’m already backlogged as it is. I must have 40 books that I own but have yet to read.
