Teaching languages in Australian high schools is often a difficult task, because a lot of young people there aren’t motivated to learn foreign languages. The fact that so little time is devoted to languages in Australian schools doesn’t help the situation.
I’d really like to try to get some kind of intensive program happening somewhere, in which students get exposure to the language every day, and it becomes a normal part of their lives. Then it would be a lot more fun for everyone involved!
Anyone done anything like this before?
