take more chances

This is by far the hardest goal I’ve had on my 43Things list…

Where is the balance between being practical and following your dreams?
By taking a chance, I would be re-routing my life in an entirely different direction.

I’m a big girl now, I have to make my own choices… but the opinions of others are like chains to me; chains that are pulling in every direction, so much so that I am simply standing still.
The thing is… life never stands still, so its time for me to move on. But where am I moving on to?

I feel like if I make the wrong choice I will have to go all the way back and restart. What if I find out that its a one way road?

Its time for something to happen. Its time to take a chance. I’m on the verge of a cliff, hesitating, wondering if I really want to jump into the water below.

I’m having a hard time taking chances… but if I don’t, I know I won’t live life to the fullest. I need to stop being so perfectionistic. I want to be a dreamer again, but this time I don’t just want to dream, I want to do.
Its time for me to take some chances, risk something, maybe lose something… I need to break out of my safe little box and live.
