I would love to be an elf, like those created and beautifully described by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Since reading Lord of the Rings, and many of the histories of Middle-Earth, I cannot but have an intense longing to live the life of an elf.
The elves were the first and oldest race, the deep race.
Elves are immortal, fair creatures; they are full of knowledge, and wisdom. Elves live among nature, they love the earth, the forest, the seas and stars. They are not shallow or facial.
Elves are well versed in poetry and song; they are well trained musicians and artists. They are maser horsemen, craftsmen and warriors.
Elves are exceedingly graceful, they never stumble or fall, they do not sicken or die save for in battle or for love.
They can see the inmost depths of man’s heart, and know his desires.
