What happens when you’re constantly hungry? I’ve been in this voracious munching constantly mode and it’s starting to drive me nuts! I think I really need to pare back, strip down my meal plan and get back to being serious about eating healthy and being sure I’m hydrated enough.

I did very poorly with this goal today. I was on a munch fest all day long! It was AWFUL. I was so busy doing work on the booklet for my mother-in-law’s church that I completely forgot to eat a real meal! Thankfully some of the stuff I munched on was at least healthy. I ate a bowl of carrots for lunch..well a kind of sort of lunch….then snacking a pretzel here a browie there…Too much munching. I did however eat a “healthy” choice meal when we went to dinner. 580 calories, minimal fat, a grilled chicken sandwich with fat free honey mustard. Steamed veggies and black beans. It was DELICIOUS and makes me want to make that meal for dinner. I love veggies, but the dear hubby doesn’t so that makes it hard for me to get a variety without having to do two different meals.
I need to quit doing this. I’m very much a stress/boredom eater and it’s doing me in. I’ve got to be more mindful of my eating habits. It’s not that I eat a lot of bad junk…usually…but I eat when I’m bored, I eat when I’m stress, I eat when I’m depressed. These last two months have been terrible for me. Getting over my firing is seriously causing me a lot of pounds ( well at least it some times feels like it. I am getting better at finding things to take my mind off of eating when bored or stressed though.
