I’ve been doing pretty well with remembering to meditate everyday. Sometimes I fall asleep, sometimes I don’t feel like I actually fall into the “meditative state”, but at least I am laying down for about 10 to 20 min everyday and taking a rest. Maybe if I try medidating in a sitting position I would be more focused, but then again….maybe not.

Have been trying to do this more consistantly, but i feel like I don’t really “meditate”. I feel asleep this afternoon when I tried.
I’ve been trying guided medidations off of youtube. The first one was really great. I hadn’t really “fell” into that mediation state in a while and the first video helped me slip into a deep meditative state. The second video was frustrating ebcasue the guy was talking WAY too fast. Plus I wasn’t picking up what he was putting down about imagining colored light changing from one color to another to another every 2 seconds. Frustrating.
Been keeping up with this, but I haven’t really “fell” into meditation in a while. What I mean by that is that I lay there breathing, but my limbs son’t get heavy and I don’t feel that weird feeling in my brain. I’ll try again now. At least I’m still taking the time to do it, even though i havn’t been that sucessful. IT’s probably because I have a lot going on. Hard to shut out some thoughts these days.
Even on vacation I have been remmebering to mediate maybe every other day. Good for me, gota keep it up!
Esterday I was 130.0 and today 129.6…...doing well but I went out to Chipotle’s with J and then Wood n Tap with A today so a lot of eating out. Then I’m going to Ocean City with my sister tommorrow for the week so, that’s going to mena more junk food even though we will tr yo be good.
Even after my class I’ve still been meditating proabably every other day. I can fall into that meditative state a little faster than before, but sometimes I can’t and thats ok. I’m, still a novice and need to practice more often, but I’m still getting the health benfits.
So I haven’t meditated the last 2 days. Tuesday I was super busy and today I was super depressed/low. So it turns out that the days I need it the most I don’t meditate. Sicne I’m doing this for a class there’s that extra accountablility so I’ll def try again tommorrow.
So I’ve been trying this for about 3 to 4 days so far. It helps that I’m taking a stress management class because I’m forced to read a lot about meditation every week. I’ve never really “got” what meditation was suposed to be. But after reading a few books on it, I’m developing my own style and interpretation of meditation.
I usually start with about a minute or so of breathing using my own personal mantra Let (inhale) Go (exhale). Then I do a set of progressive relationation and then back to concentrating omn my mantra. About 10 minutes into it I start to feel a tingling in my arms and legs. The first few times I lasted for about 10 minutes. Today I felt comfortable going for 15 minutes. I want to evenutally (but not forve myself before I’m ready) work up to a 20 minute session every day.
Today was probably the first time I really felt the benefits. Probably becuase I’ve been in an extressed stressed state for the past few days, but I feel a lot more calm and in control of my situation now. I would like for this to become a lifelong habit.
