..is to get to know a good listener.
I have a couple of friends that make excellent listeners. They ‘uh-hmm’ and ‘uh-huh’ and nod a lot, and put hand on chin and listen. They repeat what you say in a succinct way to make sure they’ve understood you, and the BEST thing is they REMEMBER and get back to you. So the next time they meet you, they’ll say “So how are things with (what you talked about last time)?”
Learning from others – now that’s listening too, isn’t it? ;)

..is everytime i ask a question, i half answer it. as in “how are you?” “are you well?” so that my question contains the expected answer.
“why did you do that?” “were you angry?” see what i mean.. then all they have to do is nod or answer monosyllabically and i’ve done the conversation for both sides :P
so long as i watch myself, i can change..
