FINALLY! 21 months ago

I finally got caught up on my bills. I’m at the point I wanted to be before marking this done. I paid off my credit card AND sent money to the collection agency. Now all I’ve left to do is work on the “get out of debt” goal regarding my student loans. :)

I paid off the collection agency that bought my account from Sprint. A little bitter about that. Almost $400 gone that I feel wasn’t justified. Oh well, at least I can improve my credit now. However, I still owe a few hundred bucks in medical bills before I’m caught up. I don’t think I’m going to meet this goal in the time I designated for myself. (mainly because I opted to buy airfare instead. I think spending time with family for the holidays trumps paying my debts.) I think it is reasonable to extend my goal through February. So, I’m going to say that if my medical bills aren’t paid by March 10th, I don’t get to have a road trip in the Spring. - And I mean business!

can I take it back??? 2 years ago

I think I need more time on my challenge. . . considering I am unemployeed, and my wallet (checks and credit card as well) was stolen from my car. I propose that I get a three month extension. yes?????

A good start. 2 years ago

I paid $200 to Capital One a couple of weeks ago, bringing my balance to around $100. I still owe $300 to a collectioon agency back home, but I’ll pay that after I recieve my tax return. Next on the agenda: fight with Sprint some more.

supposedly I owe them almost $400, but I’m suppose to have a $160 limit on my account. If it reaches that limit, my phone is suppose to be deactivated so that a large amount can’t add up. Therefore, I refuse to pay more than $160 . . . granted I don’t have a phone right now because my account has been suspended. . . but If they would return the phone call I was told would be returned a month ago. . . we wouldn’t have this problem.

Yeah. . . next on the agenda. . . fight with Sprint.

And maybe read Dave Ramsey’s book. haha.

Oops! 2 years ago

Well, I’m incredibly behind on my bills. Capital One is late, and both car insurance and Sprint are due today. . . not to mention the $300 I still owe a collection agency. The insurance comes out automatically, but I have no money to pay anything else! I’v GOT to get a job!

Time to start. 3 years ago

So I’ve been in a bit of a financial slump. Evidently, I went over my credit card limit, so I’d really like to pay it off. I opened a checking account yesterday (considering my bank is 3,000 miles away) and paid fifty bucks to Capital One! YAY! That should bring my balance down to a “safe” amount so that I’m not charged additional “over the limit” fees.

Round two: Pay Sprint.
