I still suck at budgeting! haha. I need to get myself on track again. Honestly, I almost don’t see the point in setting a budget for myself. I have a mental budget of what I can spend where, and I usually stay within that. The problem is I pay my debt and buy groceries, and that’s pretty much it. I can’t afford FUN!! Well, I find non-money involved ways to have fun, but it still makes me very sad sometimes that I’m almost 27 years old and haven’t had the chance to do most of the things I wanted to because of my stupid student loan debt!! I went to school because I was sick of working retail. My thought going in to graphic design was that I would be able to find a decent paying job that I love. I DID find a job I love, but the pay is minimal. I make the same amount now that I did five years ago only now I have $36,000 more in debt!!! UGH!!!
Okay, enough ranting girl! Go work on your budget!! haha

I honestly believe “budget” is the most disgusting word in the English language. No other word can make me feel sick and want to cry simultaneously. This is something I’m CONSTANTLY working on, and I always get off track. I’ve been pretty good about setting a budget, I just don’t always remember to keep track when I spend money. So, I’ll try, try again.

Ok, I sort have slacked off the past few months, but I REALLY want to get on track with a budget. It’s not that I’ve been spending rediculous amounts of money, (most of my money usually goes to debt) but I think I can be more efficient with my fincances if I actually Write a budget. GO TEAM GO! Let’s do this!

my downfall

Well, I had planned a budget for this month in advance, but seeing as how I decided to launch my own direct selling business, I’m going to be spending a little more money than intended. I received several offers that I have to redeem within my first 30 days as a rep. I can’t really afford them all, but I AM planning on buying a Clarisonic, because I get it for half price. It’s still a hundred bucks, but I need to be able to show it at my spa parties. It’s a great selling tool, and I’m sure my face will like it, too. On the plus side, I made $50 commission from my first party with only 7 guests! (plus got one free product and a half off item) AND, a friend may be interested in joining my team, so I’ll get a bonus if she does. :) YAY!

it's a start

I’ve been SORT OF budgeting for quite some time now, but haven’t really had much of a fixed budget. I want to try sticking to a budget from month to month. I’ve already written up a trial budget for February, but I think I need to give it another look over before it is time to implement it.
I’ve been really good at not spending much money on stupid stuff, because I’ve had so much debt. . . but now that I’m pretty close to being caught up on bills, and my finances seem like they are going to be pretty consistent. . . I think I need to plan a budget. :)

Ok,
I made a financial plan for the next couple of months. Living on mostly Lentils and rice, I can most likely pay of the collection agency as well as a good portion of the credit card by the end of September. Let’s see how it works.

I REALLY need to do this . . . I just found out that I overdrafted on my checking account! I’m pretty upset by it . . . but hopefully this situation will inspire me to stick with a budget.

I spend a rediculous amount of money on stupid things! I looked in my checkbook, and discovered that I spent just over $100 on fast food and dining last month alone! Yet I complain that I don’t have enough money for gas, or to buy the computer I need. My goals for next month are to cut my cell phone bill in half, as well as the amount of money I spend on eating out. Once I achieve that goal, I will take further measures to control my frivalous spending.
