sewing isn't quite my thing, but... 2 years ago

I’m in the middle of making pajama pants, which are apparently the easiest things on earth and yet still present me with all sorts of problems. I just find sewing rather difficult, and I’ve discovered I do not enjoy it. It is something I want to know HOW to do without having to actually do. But it’s a skill I value enough to slog through it even though it doesn’t really bring me enjoyment.

-hand-sewing (making knots, etc. and I mended my slipper)
-practiced making hems
-sewed a button to fabric

-basic workings of sewing machine
-tried various stiches
-figured out how to moderate the speed with the foot pedal
-attempted practicing hems
