draw more

I still can’t seem to find one of my sketchbooks from my sophomore year in college. I’m pretty upset about it because there were sketches, ideas, thoughts, and words in it that I still wanted to pursue further.

In other news, I still need to utilize all of those pictures I took during the parade at the end of June. I’m so tired of having ideas and never putting them to action.

I got really into this goal for a while last year. I was packing up some of my things today for when Nick and I get married and I move in. I was looking at one of my sketch pads and I was like, “Why have I stopped drawing again?” I’m pretty decent. I also wrote down ideas in it about artistic ideas that I still need to create. They are good! Dang. I should probably pursue this more.

Last night I drew a scene from the movie “Spirited Away.” It’s one of my sister’s favorite movies so I had to watch it to find out what all the hype was about. It’s a rather cute movie and I happen to like it quite a bit. My favorite character is probably No Face, which is why I found it nececssary to sketch a scene with him in it. It’s a scene towards the end where he’s about to take a sip of tea. So cute!

I’ve actually been drawing a lot lately. Yesterday I drew a picture for one of my future sister in-laws. It’s her birthday on Friday and I believe she is going to be five. I hope she likes it!

I was up until 5am last night (morning) drawing. I just couldn’t sleep. I didn’t want to sleep. Ideas kept running through my head.

So I drew.

Yesterday I kept finding ways to put off writing one of my Art History papers and so I constantly found myself picking up my sketchbook to draw in it. I found an Anime website and so I’ve been working on drawing Anime. First of all, I don’t even like Anime. It’s easy to draw. I guess I just really like their hair and big emo eyes. And most importantly, it’s practice and everyone knows that practice makes perfect!
