The longer I am out of college the more I think I wasted my resources. I’m not bashing college, I just think I could have done things better.
Wow. It feels amazing to be this far. I know that I could have been further along by now if I would have been a little more diligent. It’s not like I’m living an extravagant life, but I am content and comfortable.
I JUST paid off my second loan lender. I only had one loan with this lender because I went through them for consolidation. I really can’t remember how many of my loans I had them consolidate. It was either 2 or 3.
Now I just have one more lender. How is this possible? It feels really amazing. ONLY $3,380.46 TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s funny to look back and read about how excited I was when I had around $18,000 left to pay. PFFT.
Come on everyone! You can do this! Don’t you want to be free?!!?
I’ve been kind of slacking lately with paying my loans. It’s easy to not pay them when you’ve paid them so much that they don’t want you to make a payment until well into 2010.
I just wrote out a check to one of my lenders for $2,000. My husband said that the money was just kind of hanging out in the checking account. Sometimes it just feels better to write out a check for a decent chunk of money instead of a few smaller sized payments.
Long story short, I will now owe a total of only about $4,600! WHAT?!
I just got paid for my dance coaching position this season. You know what that means? I just offically paid off one of my loan lenders (inlcuded 4 loans.) WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! It feels so good! OK. Now only two more loan lenders to go, with each having two loans. I think I’m a little over half way done with paying off my student loans now. I probably have around $10,000 left. However, I do have $1,347 that I intend to use to make a payment soon, even though all of my loans from both lenders are pre-paid for quite awhile. I can’t wait to have these ugly monsters gone.
I paid off the rest of one of my student loans today. I only have two more loans from that lender totaling at $354 and roughly $1,200. That lender will be paid off in no time. Then I just have two more lenders to go. Only about $11,700 left for all of my student loans. Not too shabby!
In three months time I will have one of my student loan lenders paid off. After that I will only have two more lenders to go. I break it down by lender since I have several loans under each lender. So technically once I pay off Firstmark Services I will have paid off three student loans. After that I will only have two more loans plus one consolidated loan package from two separate lenders. I’m sure in a years time I will have them all paid off, as long as I don’t get pregnant…
That means I’ve nearly paid off half of my total student loan debt. I love how my loans are now about $4,000 or less each. That looks so much better on paper than $10,000!
So I have two student loans that I orginally took out from Bremer because they are my bank. They transferred the loans to a different lender last summer before my repayment started. Well now that lender is in the process of transferring it to another lender. Why is this happening? Maybe my latest lender realizes that they’re not going to make much money off of me because I keep over paying. :)
Sometimes it feels like I’m not getting any where with paying off my loans. So far I’ve paid off a little over $10,000. I guess that’s not too bad for being out of college for a year. The worst thing about all of this is that is how much I took out in student loans for my freshman year at a private university. Yuck! I am so thankful that I didn’t continue my education there, even though it was so amazing.
