I’m caught up to May of 2011 (I did all of the pictures from February, March and April).
I’m slowly catching up! Once I’ve finally caught up, I think I’ll stop taking photos altogether.
...Just kidding! LOL

Very busy in December with holidays and travels (which also, rather happily, created more photographs). No progress.
Decent progress this month. I’m caught up to mid-February so I’m holding steady (not losing any ground in terms of time). Yay!
- I’m down to 844 photos in 15 groupings. Although the number 844 is artificially low since I haven’t yet downloaded a bunch from a couple of recent trips.
- The GOOD news is I’ve completely finished all my photographs from 2009 and caught up all the way to May of 2010. This means I’m gaining in terms of how many months behind I am (now “only” 16 months). grin
Ooops! Numbers are going in the wrong direction! Now I’m 24 months behind. What I did accomplish:
- Mailed off a bunch of photos to someone in my family which is one more thing I can strike off of my “to do” list.
- Sent off two full sets of photos and a handful of framed enlargements for each of my hosts from a recent trip (to thank them). That was done without delay (none of this “two years later” nonsense)!
Wish me luck, it seems I need it! Last big push before I get busy(er) again in the Fall! I’m allocating some time to this next week to get over that hurdle (aka “fun challenge!”) of the 300+ photos from the trip in August 2009.
I have significantly fewer groups because I cleaned those up. Unfortunately, I took a lot of photos in the last few weeks so I haven’t shrunk the overall number of photos. :(
On the bright side, I am done all of the Spring of 2009! I am caught up to (but not including!) August 2009 when I was lucky enough to do some travelling. I have nearly 300 photos to wade through from that trip. I got them all printed this past month though so that’s a start.
This means I am about 21 months behind. I’ve broken the two-year mark and I’m closing in! My goals this month are:
- label about 100 of the photos from August 2009 for my own album;
- more importantly: organize, label and collate all of the extra copies I printed of that trip into a nice album for my Dad. The album will be a rather over-due gift but hoping he’ll like it since I’ve noticed he hasn’t printed a single photo from our trip yet.
- get the finished photo album into the mail in time for Dad’s birthday (this relates to a separate goal to mail things on time)!
- organize and file away a second sub-set of the trip I printed for my Auntie who couldn’t come but was very interested in our destination. I think I’ll send them on to her (labelled for sure, but maybe not collated in album form) for her birthday as well.
Longest. Entry. ....Ever. :)
As promised, I did get through all my photos in late 2008 and spring 2009. So now I’m up to the summer of 2009. Slowly catching up! Now only two years of photos left to catch up on.
...And, it feels great that I’ve broken the “1,000-mark”!
My goal for the next month is to:
- clean up two more groups of photos (comprised of, among other things, a couple of short trips by me and several visits by friends); and,
- continue printing a third group (there’s a biggie with 293 photos from August of 2009 that will take a while to get through).
Really feels good to make progress!
