Tonight I am going to the gym for the first time. Going work those abs, and going to get the ole’ heart rate up. We’re (daughter and I) going to go a bit later, so there will be less people. I am anxious to try out the nautilus machines and especially the stationary bike. I will be shown how to do proper sit-ups while holding a heavy ball. This is going to be awesome … and I think I will be sore tomorrow. But it will be a good kind of sore.

Last week, my lovely daughter and I joined a gym. It’s one of these gyms that’s opened 24/24 so you can go at any time. I joined because they offer spinning classes (stationary bike). I am gearing up for the upcoming cycling season and am going all out this year.
I also want to do a few long distance cycling events. There’s one coming up in Montreal in May or June and there’s another one in Quebec City that a few of my friends and I are considering registering for. I don’t know why I stopped cycling, really. I used to cycle to and from work every day, giving me a good 30 kilometres a day.
If I decide to start cycling in to work this Spring, I will most likely have to put the bike on the bike rack and drive in a little closer to work. I live just a bit too far to cycle right from home. I also need to purchase a new cyclo-meter, now that is a necessity! I am really looking forward to cycling!
