Tonight Jonathan was going to go to a movie with friends from school. Apparently there was an issue with one girl’s credit card. They were going to have to wait for her mom to add money to the card. I gave them enough money to go to the movie. Jonathan was suprised and very thankful. I hope he becomes good friends with the kids and become better friends. The teenagers were very nice. One complimented my apartment and the decorating. :) Of course I like that..sucker…I know..they are realing me in!

Today Hallie cried when I dropped her off at school. I got out of the car, walked her in. Promised to bake a cake with her later on. It is 7:30 PM we are in the process of baking the cake with her friend Wallace. She worked for Juicy today, which is great. Now she and Wallace are watching Wizards of Waverly Place and fixing each others hair. :)
Since we were out from school for the day, I took them to California Aventure Park-Disney Park. We had a really good time. Since it was a week day there were no big crowds, we were able to get on the rides quickly. Wallace went with us
September 16, 2009, Hallie and I went for mani/pedi at Nail Works after school. She had worked for Disney earlier in the day so she had pretty hair and make-up. She was cute. She chose purple for her fingers and blue for her toes. She had flowers with silver glitter painted on her thumb and big toe nail. Very cute.
We at El Pollo Loco before the trip to the nail shop. It was cool having the mother/daughter time. Hallie chats about school, friends etc. We brought Jonathan home dinner, so he was not totally left out.
Friday I took Jonathan and Hallie to Universal Studios for the day. I was unable to really participate because my neck was killing me. My shoulder/neck muscles had a major knot/cramp whatever…it hurt. I took them anyway. I hurt in bed or out of bed, so I might as well have fun with the kids, right. I put the kids on a ride then I would wait for them at the exit while reading my book. I finished The Alchemist and started reading Blood Junction.
We stayed until the the park closed. They had a good time. Jonathan is so responsible when dealing with Hallie. He is just the best big brother ever. We all had a good time.
Hallie dropped a 5lb jar of Mayonaisse on my second toe on my left foot last night. I did not curse or get angry. I was in so much pain I was about to pass out. My toe is purple and swollen. Had it xrayed…not broken…but it looks awful. I thought I was a good mom because I consoled her when she was crying instead of blaming. She was trying to help me bring in the condiments from the deck. It was a freaking 5lb jar that Mark bought at Sam’s Club when he was here with Jonathan.
fyi…this pic is for dramatic purposes..it is not my toe..my toe is bruised like this, but I have a pedicure :)
The kids have been in VBS all week. I went to the adult class for The Purpose Driven Life Sunday-Tuesday. My parents never took us to church..not one time. I want my kids to understand that it is not about them..it is about God…everything we do and say.
This is Hallie at VBS 2006! The kids have had a splendid time. We have a cookout tomorrow!!
I bought summer passes to Beech Bend Park. It has rides and two pools. This is Jonathan on their really big wooden roller coaster!! I hope that the kids understand that this is my gift to them for the summer. When I was a kid we were so poor we didn’t go on vacation ever…we played with the neighbors and our cousins and that was it.
My kids will never understand that they have a great life. I just want to be a great mom. I want them to grow up and look back on their lives and know that I really tried!!
This weekend we have two extra children staying with us for the first visit. I took them to Hollywood video to rent two Playstation 2 games. They got Sims & Bratz. Hallie had a little break down about sharing the PS2. She was crying and whinning, fake crying, no tears. Of course I am tired and it would have been very easy to have made a mountain out of a mole hill! However, I told her that I would set the oven time for 15 minutes, and her turn would be when the time went off. Worked like a charm. She cheered up immediately and they are sharing. Jonathan is watching a movie in the living room with our male guest. They are going to bake the precut Valentine sugar cookies. Jonathan loves to make those!! So I bought two packs at the grocery earlier this week.
After working all day, going to church, getting the kids baths, I spent the last hour importing music to Jonathan’s IPOD Shuffle. It is not difficult to do. It is just my first time taking music from a disk. Before I had just bought the music off the net and downloaded. This is simple too if you have the CD on hand. I think that I am being a good mom, because Jonathan is so happy that he is gettings some new music. He wanted MatchBox 20, Celine Dion, Guns & Roses and Green Day—American Idiot. As you can see he enjoys a varitey of music!!
