The front garden beds are really coming into their own this year. The roses (rosa rugosa and a hardy and heavenly scented pink bush rose) are lovely (and at night when they are blooming my bedroom smells so beautiful) and the lavender, lemon thyme and mint add to the fragrance and beauty. I’ve added more iris, anaemone, poppy, peonies, annuals, and daylilys. I also continue to grow my tomatoes (including heirlooms like Black Krim) in with the flowers and herbs like oreagano, sage and basil.

I added more lavender and a new rose (rosa rugosa, a very hardy variety and one that still has a very strong scent) to the front bed last year and it seems that they’ve all survived the winter.

Already have roses and lavender and mint...

but have added rosa rugosa, lemon verbena, lemon thyme, sage and rosemary. I want to add even more,
