Start my own business

There always seems to be a moment when you question things. Everything is going great, but for some reason, you doubt. It seems to be an emotionally driven thing, as there is no real reason for it. But, when you’re starting something new, it’s new! There’s no history, no reliable statistical data to smooth out the rough edges of the unknown. The good news is that the moments always pass and by tonight, I’ll have forgotten about any nervousness. Ah, the excitement of new business jitters.

The wheels of industry are turning. I’ve dropped off a few brochures at a local business. I’m working on lining up a church, a horse riding group, a couple of schools, and so on. The brochure is looking good. And, all the research I’ve done thus far indicates that there is no one doing anything like what we are doing. I’m so excited to have something so Blue Ocean.

I’m re-doing my brochure, but for the most part, I’m done. Now it’s time to start collecting orders. Here we go!!!

So I registered the name with the Secretary of State. I opened a checking account for the business with a few hundred dollars. I put together my marketing materials (brochure, order forms, etc.). I’ve started implementing my initial gorilla marketing campaign. I have a good laptop with quickbooks, MS Office, and so on. Oh, and I have no debt. granted, i have no money, either. But with my current business model, I don’t spend a penny until people pay me first. It’s a good idea. Best of all, I’ve set myself up so that I can make more than enough money to meet my needs working only 2 weeks per month. I’m so excited! Finally, business the way it was meant to be. My own boss, working part time, doing something I enjoy, and having the time to enjoy the fruits of my labors. Ahhhh, life is good.

Unless I was able to earn 80% of my income in 20% of my time. Amazingly, when you think about it for long enough, you find a way. I am now in the midst of starting my second business – and yes, I will be able to earn about $2,000 a month and only have to work one week a month. And the cool thing is, other people can do this too! And best of all, it is built on the idea that my success is directly tied to how much money I give away. The more I give away, the more successful I am. Anybody want a part of this?
