I am puerto rican , born here, my parents are american too and didn’t pass the language along. Its incredible though how many people clutch their pearls in horror when they discover I cannot speak it. Its almost as if they think I am some kind of traitor! So not only do I want to stop getting those shocked looks from people, but I also want to be able to teach my children.
I think watching Novelas will help!
