make a difference

I’m an injured person. I’m pretty sure people reached out to me when they saw my pain and I’m pretty sure I failed to accept them and what they offered. Now the position is reversed. I have friends in pain. They don’t value themselves. They don’t see how great they are. I recognize this because I’ve been there. What I want to do is reach out to them and help them understand that they are of value. That the pain they live in is self imposed. But also know they will do as I did, and close themselves off to it. Because it’s hard to believe. You have to want to believe it and have enough people reinforce that image so you can believe it. Until then all I can do is love these people to the best of my ability and hope that one day they will see the same beauty in themselves that I already see in them.
