I’m up to der siebzehnte Lektion in mein Büch. Es haben dreißig Lektionen.
I hope to finish it by the end of the year. By then I should be able to read at basic level… YAY!

hahahaha! Now I’ll see how good my beginner’s German really is! But my tutor thinks I’m good enough for a trip over there, but now I’m learning “touristy” stuff like ordering food, reading signs, etc.
I went to see a new tutor, and he’s really good. Helped me a lot with my pronunciation, I can’t imagine how I really sound to a native German speaker, LOL.
meeting a new tutor on Monday, need to catch up with my own studies and review since Christmas made me lazy
seeing my tutor on Saturday. I’m bringing my text so he can see what I’ve been doing so far
Yay! I got ‘em right before Thanksgiving. It’s so much fun when listening… that’s really weird… I’ve never thought listening to language tapes would be fun. I remember when I got Japanese audio for my textbook like 2 yrs ago, it wasn’t fun at all. But then I listened to the Japanese CD again (after I did German, of course)... and… it was fun!!! YAY!!
Honestly, if you’re not having fun when learning something you want to learn, then it’s so much harder to learn. Take a break, do something else, then come back to it.
Oh, I have the usual excuses for taking like 3 weeks to do a 5 page chapter…too tired/pissed/sleepy/waiting for job interview results/video games…blah blah
on to chapter 5!! I ordered the pimsluer tapes used from someone on Amazon, should be here this week.
so I’m on lesson 4 in my book, things are getting a bit more dense… no, that’s not the right word… more COMPLEX! Oh yeah! dieser, dieses, diese… it was confusing at first but honestly I do not care. I wanna gobble up everything!!
gotta get those pimsleur tapes!
gah! I fell behind… I have a cold, um slight cold rather and I’m all stuffy… grrrr, I’ll resume next weekend.
I think I’ll buy the Pimsluer tapes I used to borrow from the library since the catalog says it’s either lost (ie stolen) or someone has it out and it’s way overdue.
