i admit i find myself dearly longing for something that happens to not exist. example: riding a dragon, falling in love with a winged creature or other mythological creatures, attending hogwarts, etc. this is much more than a whimsical whim of doing this, but an intense need. yet, if i were to exist in any of these mystical worlds which i feel such a connection to, would it seem so mysterious and exciting? wouldn’t that mean i’m living in a marvelous and crazy world now, and, lo and behold, i take it for granted and want something different? rather than being a wanderer, riding horseback in the rain with a dark cloak, then going into a tavern to listen to news, i can still ride everywhere on a bike or so, or even a horse, wear a cloak if i like that style (though if i want to blend in, then not)
and, besides, why am i longing for unattainable things outside of this world when i still want so many things to come pass here which are actually possible? when i have all that, will i still want more?
