I’m really bad at thins. Mostly because I’m really bad at coming up with questions to ask the other person. What’s worse is that I just had the most awkward conversation EVER with certain teachers at my high school (where I went back for a visit the other day) with whom I used to be able to have amazing conversations with.
I think it might have something to do with my limited social group at college. I had such a large group of friends in HS and then…as a result of several things (living situation, my own shyness etc.) I don’t have such a group at college. As a result my conversation skills haven’t had as much practice and they have died. I can still have good conversations with my close friends…but its small talk with people with whom I am not so close that I need to work on.
