Did well today until the very end (I said F a few times, mainly because I was getting angry with my boyfriend because the women in his office are so petty. How unneccessary now that I think about it!) I did notice that my effort of noticing actually paid off though. I think I may have said 4 bad words at work all day. If I can go one whole day with none, I’ll be happy.

started seriously working on this today. i didn’t do so bad once i started writing down what i was saying and how many times i’d said it. better luck tomorrow, hopefully.
Ok so I’m doing pretty bad. The only time I’m pretty good at work is when a) there are customers around or b) Debbie, our part-timer who I only see Monday from 3-5pm works. She’s like a nun and I feel like I’m cursing in front of Jesus. Maybe I should pretend she’s around all the time. Easier said than done. AGH! And I realize what I’m doing and I just keep doing it. That’s one of my downfalls…
I work in a small office of only 4 people, two of which are men. Let me just start also by saying it is a unique place… My boss is my cousin and the other guy in the office is his best friend since high school. Needless to say, 37 year old men still act like they’re in high school – they’re vulgar and curse frequently. It’s good times, don’t get me wrong. I have lots of fun at work. However, I have picked up their bad habits and at times I can sound like a truck driver… not very lady like! The office has tried to have a “swear jar” where each curse represents a given amount of money (ex: f@#!, $2, sh**, $1 and so on…) and it just fell through. I need to realize how many times a day I curse, and try to curb the habit as much as possible.
