4. Please Look After Mom

by Kyung-sook Shin

Good story, but kind of slow paced and boring. I almost quit 1/3 into it, but glad I stuck it out.

3. Rooms

by James Rubart.

The author tries a little too hard to convey emotions/sentiment which made me cringe in some parts, but nonetheless, I could barely put the book down.

2. Tristan's Gap

by Nancy Rue.

Loved the story. A little too sentimental at times, but was so relateable to me. Teen girl, perfect “good girl,” family problems behind facade, runs away to hide big mistakes, grace, and forgiveness.

1. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

by Jonathon Foer.

I read this one 4 months ago, but I remember liking this a lot. A little boy’s life after his father passed away in 9/11 terror attacks. The movie was even better than the book. Funny and emotional.
