learn to whistle

Finally! I can whistle! this is awesome! I’m not the best in the world, but I definitely can whistle, and even carry a tune!

XD I’m driving every crazy with my whistles too.

I guess you can officially say that I can whistle, but I don’t think I’m done quite yet. the whistle is audible, and I can get it most of the time(along with about three variances in tone) but it’s still not quite good enough for me. I’m going to keep practicing. ^^

Sometimes I’ll be able to whistle a few separate notes(they’re soft and shaky though), and then I’ll lose it for a few minutes, and then I find it again, and then I lose it again. Ack!

I’ve come a long way though. the fact that I can even make a sound half the time is amazing, let alone have any sort of range. I can whistle the saddest most pathetic sounding version of “jingle bells” you will ever hear. XD

My main problem right now is just that it’d hard to keep up whistling, so stringing along a tune is HARD. I’ll be merrily whistling, but I’ll only get half the song because the sound cuts in and out.

^{^ I did get some moisturizing Blistex though. my chapped lips feel much better, and I think it even helps the whistling a bit by keeping my lips a little moist itself.}

I just started trying to whistle two days ago. To tell the truth I’ve been trying for most of my eighteen years. I always wanted to be able to whistle a tune, and when I had trouble with it as a kid people would just tell me I’d learn when I got older.

Of course, genius that I am I just thought that maybe one day I’d wake up and magically be able to whistle like my friends. I’m much to old now, and I want to learn so badly! After trying and trying and trying(my lips are now chapped from moistening them), I can usually make a note. I’m gradually getting stronger, and I want to be able to blow a few in succession, then start trying to alter my pitch!

I Will Learn to Whistle!! I’ll just keep telling myself until I do. Does anyone have any tips? Maybe some fun tunes to try out for practice? Any help is much appreciated!
