Read 100 books in 2008

I finished book #40 yesterday, and I’m a few pages away from #41. I’m glad that I’m moving at a good pace, because I’m sure my reading will come to a screeching halt when I start grad school in the fall. I’m sure I’ll still be reading, but it’s gonna be harder and slower and… well… different, albeit good different.

So, I’ll be happy if I can hit 100 by August – my weeklong beach vacation midmonth should help wrap things up!

Ugh, I have such problems with getting myself to finish books. I’m in the middle of something like 10 right now, and it’s all I can do not to just start another new! exciting! read.

I must finish Beloved today – it’s due back to the library tomorrow, and I’ve been dragging my feet through it since early February. One of my AP students and I are reading it together, and I don’t think either one of us is loving it.

And I should really get through a chunk of How to Read Literature Like a Professor because that one has been lingering for a while.

I just created my 43 Things page, but I’m already up to 26 or so books. I’ve been doing a lot of work around my house lately, so I haven’t read too much in March… but I have a long, lonely weekend in front of me. Guess I’ll get caught up!
