Especially since i completed my goal of abstaining from sweets, soda and fast food for a year. But as healthy as my eating habits have become after that year, it could still use a lot more tweaking, so I think I’ll leave this up.
Also it would be good for a reminder to stay on track and pick healthy options whenever available. I also know that unless I move out of my mom’s house, it’s going to be hard sometimes to eat exactly how I want.
I think in a month or two I’ll re-evaluate how my eating habits are and think about if I want to put this as a goal achieved or not.

with lots of peppers and onions on it and some sun dried tomatoes. perhaps some sliced zucchini as well. i have to use up the big ass zucchini in the fridge before it goes bad and i can roast/bake/whatever the rest in the oven for later.

To foods I now love. Although they are high in calories and sugar, but loaded with potassium it seems. They’re an awesome treat.

Abstaining from candy, soda and takeout has really been helping with this. I know I can drink tea and juice but I find myself opting for water more often then not. Also it’s so much easier to eat healthy when I’m making everything…and surprisingly cheaper. Although I have been eating lots of cheese lately. Not good, I do need to cut back on that. :p

Mung Beans! I recognized them as the stuff that comes in me fried rice and some of my Chinese food. So since I am having to forgo all that for the year I have found they go awesome with salad. Next I think I’ll try them on a sandwich or a pita with some hummus.

Cutting out candy, sodas and take-out/fastfood is helping to make it easier to eat things that are healthy.

the healthy eating pattern a couple of times, it’s kind of hard especially when the good food supply dwindles and all there is is junk, but it’s kind of good for me because I need to learn to control my eating habits when there isn’t a lot of good or healthy things around and not just go back to how I used to eat. And to learn how to pick the lesser of two evils.
I also have to remember that I am not on a diet, I am changing my pattern of eating to a healthier pattern, so if I do mess up it’s not the end of the world and that doesn’t mean that I have to give up.

So I went to the store and had a friend help me, everything is low in calories and either nonfat or lowfat, low in sugar and sodium. lots of fruits and veggies to. The only hard part is having bad stuff in the house since I live with my mom and trying not to eat that.
But I’m happy that I’m starting to eat healthier again. Kind of wish that this could be goal done, but I could just go back to eating crap the next day, so, not done yet. :-p
