Haven't heard from the lawyer yet

So I might try the local lawyer. Make it easier to arrange a meeting. Need to get this done.

I mean come in I’m a grown up….so better act like it (at least in terms of my financial and parental matters)

A friend at work gave me the card for someone

who is writing her will. She has a son, and felt irresponsible without a will. Her son is four or five years old.

I know how she feels.

I might give him a call, and compare rates. He came to see her at the office. Sounded very easy indeed.

Maybe this should say "get a will"

I ticked the box in the lawyer’s forms for a partner in the wills team to get in touch.

Decided to outsource this one to a lawyer, and pay to get a will.

A good friend of ours, who is a lawyer (actually my address book is lousy with lawyers) has agreed to be executor.

Got out the CD and booklet

I bought one of those will-writing packs a few years ago. I dug it out and I’ve drafted my will. Now to double-check it, print it and get it witnessed.

Overdue!

As a parent with two young children, it is bonkers I haven’t done this before. A month or so ago, I found a firm that will do it for me for £105….not too expensive really. Watch this space
