Create and run an email RPG

Today my game arrived at the point, up until which I had fleshed out most of the plot points in advance. So I’ve just finished sitting down with my little black book, some tunes and some coffee and have come up with new ideas that should keep the game interesting during this next “chapter”.

Sometimes when I come home I feel just too tired to write an answer and it almost seems like a chore to do it.

But when I’ve sat down and written a good text, it makes me smile and actually proud to have come up with a good wording or a twist here and there.

So far I’ve written 203 messages for this game and gotten 202 back. Amazing how fast these add up !

that the last couple of weeks, I’m finding it much harder to sit down and start writing. This is certainly due to my current heavy work load. However, once I am typing along, it goes rather smoothly.

Yesterday I had to write my friend that I need a time-out on the RPG for the rest of the week, since my work load is so heavy this week.

Hope this is really an exception…

and compiled a list of names and places that have come up in the story so far. I noticed it had gotten so much already, I was in danger of making a continuity error…

I just wrote a really long message for the RPG – kinda felt like writing a short story…

As of today 204 messages have been exchanged in the game. And while they’re often short, I still find this to be amazing :)

was the first day since I started this game, that I wasn’t able to write the daily message, since I came home so late and was just too tired. But today I’m back on track !

Well, the good news is that the game has been running for about ten days now, with one message a day going back and forth without interruption so far. And it’s developing well.

The bad news though is that on work days it seems to take away the time I had been using for reading a book.

I wonder what I should do about this…
