While in this incredible Bavarian town in southern Germany I tried to find a good place to eat. I asked a couple of the locals and most of them directed me to the McDonalds! I didn’t travel 8000 miles to get McDonalds food. Then we were at a bar off the beaten track in the Czech Republic (you know what they say…the road less traveled) and since I am always one to route for the underdog I tried to order a “Budweiser Budvar of the Czech Republic beer” which I had read about because they were battling Budweiser of St. Louis, MO over who had the rights to the Budweiser trademark. The bartender proudly proclaimed that he had the American version of Bud should we want that instead!! What is the world coming to? When I finally make it to Brazil to explore the rainforest I hope I don’t see any Starbucks!
