Dawn Michelle x3 has written 1 entry about this goal

Started this goal last Friday.

I bought the REA CLEP study book on Amazon for $25.
It recommends four weeks of study and three practice tests before trying to take the real test, so my goal is to take the test in late July or early August.

So far I feel pretty good about the American Indian history and early Spanish/English colonization. I’m pretty much spending this entire week studying the American Revolution.

It’s interesting because in school I always thought history was kind of slow and boring but now that I’m studying it at my own pace and taking the time to look up additional information about things I find interesting I’m actually enjoying it. I would read about one Spanish conquistador coming and travelling through the Southwest US and then eighty years later it mentions another conquistador coming to the US because the first conquistador was his idol growing up. It’s just neat to see how each piece of history affects each piece of history after it.
