I did a huge chunk of my backlogged bill filing, which will help me get to my goal. I discovered that I was paying my bills in a way that doesn’t make sense (but they were all getting paid, just not as quickly as I’d like).

Anyhow, it’s nice to see neat orderly files, with the statements in date order and all that. Not all done, but I feel like it’s a victory to get any of it done.

Paid off my car 3 years ago

This was a huge part of my overall monthly payments, though I still have a chunk of credit card debt to pay off and, of course, an obnoxiously large amount of student loans.

Very close to paying car off 4 years ago

I’m getting excited about that. I bought it right before I was laid off and, due to the recession, was really glad I’d opted for a 5-year loan, because I really needed that time, unfortunately.
