I stopped using the AOL software, even though I was addicted to the chat rooms at one time. But I still have the $2.95 a month plan that’s webmail only. My boyfriend (who is annoyingly paternalistic but right in this case) thinks it’s a waste of money…I have to admit that I agree and that it’s been in the back of my mind to eliminate that expense.
So, this month I’m really making an effort to switch all my important email notifications to a non-AOL address.
I see that AOL has free AIM.com addresses for email, but it won’t let me sign up for one because my screen name is in use (sigh).
I remember something called ReturnPath that helps with this…I hope to be at the ReturnPath stage in a month or so.
