So, it’s been a long, long time since I’ve visited this lovely site. I’m back though, and ready to tackle this particular goal.
Recently, I lost my steady job at Assurant Health, I was there for four years. They cut 170 positions along with mine, basically, they down-sized. I kind of saw it coming, but I never thought I would be one of the people that had to leave.
Such is life though and I was let go in my fifth month of pregnancy, this complicated things further, naturally. I was given a $6,000.00 severance AND they also paid out my pension at a few thousand. I am extremely good at paying my bills and keeping tabs on my monies, so I made a plan. I would use my severance to pay off ALL of my standing credit card bills, which were about three grand. They are practically gone, GONE I TELL YOU! no one knows how relieving it is to see a zero balance on your card statement. I only have one left to pay off at a mere $400, which will be gone this week! who knew that getting canned would ultimately lead me to better things?
Ahh yes, this goal IS FINISHED!

I have five credit cards. My titanium card has about $400.00 on it, my Chase Platinum has about $800.00, my other platinum card has about $600.00 on it and my gold card has like $500.00.
My credit is through the roof though, the highest it has ever been. I never miss a payment since I am always anal about getting my bills paid in time. I just hate owing anyone. anyone..
I also am a co-signer for my brother who bought a motorcycle for which he is still paying off. I also made an account online with Dell for my best friend so he could buy a laptop. He doesn’t have any good credit to speak of so he asked me if he could ride off of mine. I trust him because he always pays his bills, though it may get rough for him. So I have two people riding on my credit as well as myself. When all of their stuff is paid off though…my credit will be that much better!
For right now my focus is paying off the things that I bought this summer (new bike, car, computer things). So I can buy new things next summer :). So I can feel free.
