I went over my goal timeframe and it appears that this has created a more permanent lifestyle change. I’m happy with that.

I’ve been eating out a little more than I planned to, but I have completely broken myself of the habit of buying things when I feel upset or stressed. My eating out isn’t for comfort, it’s out of laziness. I’ll find a different goal to address that. This was probably easy for me because I had only just started noticing my tendency to try to buy temporary happiness, and it rapidly got harder to find things that would provide that. Play-Doh only worked once, and after that it was all much more expensive. I’m glad I’ve done this so far, and it’s gotten very easy near the end. It is also massively easier since I have sworn off walmart via another goal here. My soul feels better without walmart.
I’ve been at this for two days already before finding this page, and I plan to purchase only food, and more importantly I plan to purchase it only in the form of groceries unless absolutely necessary, which means no eating out unless time demands it, and even then minimally and as healthy as is reasonable. I spent way too much time and money over the past month on eating out with, and making comfort purchases because of trouble with, my recently made ex-girlfriend. I need to get back into living in a non-consumerist manner and this might help me establish the habit.
