shave my head

This last week my hair finally grew out to my hips, so as much as it pains me to say it, I must with my hair a fond farewell. BUT… here’s the catch. It seems another person on this site wants to run a fundraiser to shave her head as well, so if I can get my head shaved along with hers in the next 2 months or so it’s all coming off, but if not, I will cut a sizeable chunk off (say to my shoulders) and donate that instead.

As my hair gets longer and closer to the “cut off point”, to say that I have conflicting feelings would be an understatement. At the rate my hair is still growing I probably have about 2, maybe 3 more months, but everyday is getting harder. I almost want it to be over with already just cuz the anticipation is killin me!

I’m still planning on shaving my head, but another one of my goals was to grow my hair to my hips so I may as well do both. I’m gonna put off this goal so I can grow my hair out those 5 or 6 inches, but the second I feel it brushing against my hips it’s coming off. I know that may seem a while off, but at the rate my hair grows I’m guessing I have 4 months left to enjoy my hair, 5 tops. Now I just have to worry about following through when it gets to that length. :-(

I absolutely love my hair, but I’ve wanted to shave my head more than anything else since i was in high school and donate it. I wish I did it now when my hair was only down to my chin, but now I think I should do it before it gets any longer and I can get back to growing it long again
