Constant infuriating work in progress. 4-5 gym sessions a week, and the weight hasn’t moved in 6 months. So trying the portion control and food diary now. Dinner on a sandwich plate, let’s see how long that lasts!

scales have gone in the wrong direction the last couple of weeks. But not to worry I’m still keeping up with gym visits twice a week and one yoga session a week, so hopefully I can keep the weight at bay til summer comes around again – always seems to be easier to eat well in the summer!
in the last 7 months since the last update I have lost around 6 kilos. I’ve found real enjoyment and stress relief from exercise, I can see my fitness and general health get better. I also have the added bonus of a closer friendship with a work mate who comes to the gym with me.
So I’ve passed my first mini goal weight, have 1.5 kilos to go til I reach the second, and 6.5kg to go to the main goal. So nearly half way there :)
OK haven’t been on this site for ages so Updates! I ended up leaving the boxing gym I was going to when it was obvious that I wasn’t going to be able to attend more than once a week with the classes that were going on their etc. So after about 3 months break I joined the gym at work and for teh last 6 weeks I’ve been going 3 or 4 days a week. A tad annoying this morning when I realised I’d actually put on 1 kilo since I started – btu I can’t whinge when I realistically look at what I’ve been consuming! So hopefully I can be a bit more disciplined and try and get a couple of kilos off before Xmas.
Measured last night – and in the last 3 months I’ve lost 9 cm’s from my waist, 6 from my hips and 8 around my stomach. I didn’t actually trust the tape measure – Can’t believe it’s so much!! V V V pleased with self ;)
The holidays have been a disaster weight wise. The gym I go to has been closed for 3 weeks over the holidays, plus the ridiculous amount over food eaten and alcipop drunk has all added up to a fairly significant gain around the middle. Anyway – this week hasn’t been too bad food / drink wise with being back at work, and gym is open again next week so intend to get back into it and see if I can budge the rapidly growing spare tyre that’s appeared over this last month!!
Also want to encourage hubby to start doing a bit of exercise. The beer belly is coming along very well, and although I honestly couldn’t care less I know it bothers him. Plus general health wise he needs to start doing something. He’s 46 this year, it’s time to start thinking about his health a whole lot more than he does.
I love that I have muscles!! I’m doing a bit more weight training and I LOVE the effects ! Not like majorly pumping iron but definatley starting to develop some nice definition in my arms. Now just to get to work on the arse and stomach and I’ll be laughing!
Well apparently one of the symptoms of PCOS is a tendancy to carry extra weight, and have more difficulty losing it. At least there’s a REASON I struggle so badly! Doesn’t change anything but it was really frustrating to put so much effort in and see so little result. But actually under the circumstances the results haven’t been too bad!
Actually bored with this but really trying to keep pushing. I’ve done well and I love the fact I’ve lost some weight and feeling healthier & fitter. Just need a boost to keep on track I guess. Plus the wintery weather doesn’t help – just want to veg out in front of the fire with comfort food – the gym is very unappealing!
I’ve been going to the gym 3 times a week for the last 3 months, I’m eating well and stopped drinking beer (yes OK I’m still drinking wine but a girl has to have something!) and so far I’ve managed to lose a HUGE 1.5 kilos!! I can feel that my body shape is changing, but the scales don’t seem to want to move. It’s demoralising to work hard and not get the results but I won’t give up. I want to lose 10 kilos in all, so I have another 8.5 to go (at this rate it’ll be 2011 by the time I get there!)
I’m lucky that the gym I go to is owned by a friend and she has written me a program to work to which I start next session, so figers crossed this might start the weight coming off.
