My two big ones

I found a store that has very good avocados for $1. Some of you might be saying, “I get them for fifty cents,” or “I steal them for free off the neighbor’s tree.” Well, here, an avocado usually goes for 4 or 5 dollars, so to get descent ones for $1 is great. I love those avocados.

A bag of hass

I bought a bag of ripe Hass avocados yesterday. They were perfect. There were actually five in the bag, but I ate one with salt before this shot. A couple of these, we did Japanese style with a wasabi, shoyu and katsuobushi dip. Tonight the remaining two will be in a salad with cucumber, tomato and onion with a curry powder and shoyu dressing sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Advocate avocados

I love avocados. I like walking around avocado trees. So why wouldn’t I want my own plantation? Stands to reason, yeah? I picture myself riding a horse through my plantation. Does anybody know how many types of avocados there are in the world? My favorite is the Queen Anne, like a round black smooth and shiney skinned softball. The taste is out of this world.
