When my wife and I were planning our vacation this summer, I insisted on staying at at least one B&B, to get this goal off my 43Things list. And since she likes planning and booking things, as well as finding diamonds in the rough, I left things up to her. And she hit it out of the park.
A View of the Lake is run by a husband and wife; the husband is an award-winning chef who runs a demonstration kitchen in the evenings (we didn’t take advantage of that, unfortunately, but it sounds like a lot of fun). We stayed in the least fancy room in the place, which was still very nice, and the breakfast we got was deeelicious. Reasonable price, knowledgeable owners, good food, and a lovely view of Lake Okanagan. Would definitely go again, and may relatively soon!
