Trying to get a straight answer on all the fees that come with a merchant account is like pulling teeth.

Biz account : easy. no min balance. that’s fine.

Merchant account: need to get several questions answered.

My copy of quickbooks arrived today.

Yeah, now I can start learning how to use it.

I can enter all the things I’ve been spending money on – hopefully, I’ll start seeing lots of money flowing in too.

I purchased equipment to help me produce my business’s initial offering.

$815 dollars worth.

I am committed now man.

I’m going to do the inital website myself to keep expenses down.

It’s been nearly a year since I did my marketing survey!!!!

I’ve been paralized by indecision.

Wow. It’s crazy how being busy with work and thinking too much wastes time.

I’ve made a decision to move ahead with an initial service offering and I will grow from there.

I will not get side tracked by having the perfect website or anything like that – I will be operational within six weeks!

I signed up for a two day class on how to write a business plan. Six hours total.

I’m not going to ask for funding, so I don’t technically need a business plan.

However, I think it’s important for me to learn the things that are taught in this class. After all, people who are knowledgeable about business have decided that the things in a business plan are important. I should know what these things are.

When I started this process it was very much with an “I don’t know what I don’t know” attitude.

Having a high level road map will give me more confidence about what I am doing and whether or not I’m focusing my attention on the correct things.

Form some sort of legal entity.

LLC?
S Corp?
C Corp?

Which one?

How many shares? I don’t know how to answer this. Can I change it later? Is this an important decision?

I want to do this myself to keep the cost down, but I have so many unanswered questions.

What a waste that was.

Tough.

I need the money from the job.

I have lots of questions to answer before I decide to proceed or not.

She thinks it will take 8K to test this out.

I also know how much I have to sell to get that back.

That doesn’t seem so scary.

Things to learn. Overwhelming and manageable at the same time.
