enjoy Fall 2007 by having one new and fulfilling experience in October, November, and December

Today I had an experience that was definitely new, though not particularly fulfilling, but it’s really all I’ve got for this month! I was filmed a bit as part of some kind of training film for an insurance company/investment firm we often work with which is based in Des Moines. Interacting with the boss man. Whoopie. I’m sure I’ll never even see the footage. _{it was slightly different from being filmed for one of Bill’s YouTube videos!} :)

So I guess I can mark this goal done!

wants to go to a bowl game this year in the worst way, since our Illini are finally having a good year. That may end up being my new & fulfilling experience for Dec.

The 43T Chicago meetup was so GREAT! I echo everyone else’s thanks to Shari for organizing the meetup and to Todd for treating us all. What a great group of people!

My new experiences included my first stay at the Drake (which I loved), my first time riding the el, my first time going to Chinatown, first trip to the Macy’s tree lighting ceremony, first time to a Turkish restaurant, and, of course, my first time meeting any of these people in person. All very fulfilling, too!

I will have yet another new, fulfilling experience (I think!)- traveling to Racine, WI for a wedding reception. WITH AN ALL NIGHT OPEN BAR! Woo hoo!

and fulfilling experience for October was our big adventure out west, from which we just returned. Crazy Horse and Rushmore were awesome, the marathon was worth it, even though I struggled more than usual and even though it was poorly organized. I’d never been to South Dakota before and it was beautiful there in the Black Hills.

Our few days in CA were great, with great weather, too. And I hadn’t seen my brother and sil in Colorado for 3 years, so that was great, too. All that driving was exhausting, but we definitely saw some great scenery, and my little Prius handled the mountains pretty well, even in the snow. _{Snow in October was certainly “new” for me, but not “fulfilling”!}

for the invite, John! I already know what October’s will be – our trip to Crazy Horse/Mt. Rushmore. I’m still kinda hoping November’s could be the 43T meetup in Chicago, and who knows about December? _{not losing my mind because of holiday and year-end work stress would certainly be something new!}
