Learn how to play electric guitar

I’m temepted to get one in September, when I’ll have some money, but I’m not sure if I want move into my student accomodation with a guitar, which people will assume I can play since I brought it with me. Then I’ll have to go through the whole ordeal of telling them that I can’t play, and explain to then why I want to. No no no no no, that’s not how I want to meet the people I’ll be spending the next year with.

Perhaps I’ll wait until I’ve moved in, then sneak it in, then pretend all that noise is me…erm…trying to sing. Badly. While in pain.

I think I need to think this through some more.

An idea I’ve been toying with for about a year now, it’s something I’ve always said to myself that if I did do it then I’d do it properly. Not just learn a few songs by my favourite bands, but actually learn it as an instrument, something too many people I know seem to forget to do.
