Went to a 4th of July gathering last night, and kept my language completely clean :)

Definitely shifted compaired to when I created this goal… not as clean as I’d like to be though. A continuous work in progress :)
I think I’m using blatantly over the top rude swear words a lot less fequently. And getting more creative about expressing myself again in socially clean/appropriate ways. I want to clean it up further though so that i don’t find myself saying things like “hell” when I’m frustraited in public venues (thinks back to rock climbing tonight and swearing over the lack of opportune holds on the wall.)
Spent most of the weekend with my partner, and though he was swearing in casual conversation, I only responded in kind a few times, and always consciously :)
Finding myself using gentler turns of phrase the last few days :) Going to see if I can sustain my cleaner language through the weeekend despite spending it with my sweetie….
So, after making this goal, and heading toward it gently, I did an about turn when I got together with an old friend who swears excessively. Spending time with him (we’re now dating intensely) I’m finding myself swearing more casually than ever! Yikes!
So, got to do some journaling/meditation around this one and see what my motivations are, where my needs and desires fall, and what I want to do about it all :)
This goal has been on the back of my mind lately, and I think in general I’ve been doing better. Yet I definitely slipped into old vulgar patterns today when I was blowing off steam on the phone to a friend about how frustraiting it is to deal with the shards of dissappointment after having broken up with my now ex. sigh
Not sure how much a shift I’ve made with swearing/not swearing. Sort of half forgot about this goal the last few days.
Things had gotten really bad with cuss words popping up in my head continuously as I was coming to terms with the fact that I had to break up with my partner and then processing that transition.
Now that I’m healthier and happier on my own, and not talking with him nightly (he was a bad influence on casual swearing) I’m definitely swearing less than I was, but have quite a ways to go still…
Only caught myself having just said a swear word outloud about 3 or 4 times today. I seem to be thinking them less as well :)
for my dinner tonight, while talking on the phone with a friend, doing laundry, and cutting up other veggies all at once. When i realized they were getting browner then I’d intended, all I said was “fudge.” This is awesome, I’m shifting this habit already!
