Our Save the Dates came in the mail yesterday.
I am way too excited about these postcards. lol
We aren’t sending them out till January, but I we got them “free” through VistaPrint. Apparently you have to pay for each picture you upload so they really came to about $20 with shipping, which I still don’t think is too bad.
So that’s the fun exciting news. And now I have sad and frustrating news. Our Disney cruise might be cancelled! Well, cancelled for us at least. Apparently there’s an outside company looking into chartering the cruise. I’m pretty heartbroken. I’ve been calling back for three weeks now and Disney Cruise Line still can’t give us an answer. It’s frustrating! (Not to mention I hate making phone calls!) We booked this cruise last year! Two years in advance and now some company just swoops in and puts a hold on it. There isn’t even a definite date as to when the company has to make up their mind! One cast member I spoke to said up to 180 days before the cruise sails!! Very poor customer service on Disney’s part. :(
FI and I have a back up plan to switch to Royal Caribbean, but it’s just not the same. Although after hearing how DCL was the only cruise ships to sail through Sandy and the horror stories from that, I’m wondering if that might be a good switch anyway since we’d be cruising during hurricane season as well! Yikes!
We got our engagement pictures back from our photographer this week. Oh boy does this make it feel a lot more real. We’re under the one year mark and I have pictures which means I can start working on our Save the Dates. Oh my goodness!!
Our photographer is awesome. Not only does she take stunning photos, but she is probably the nicest person I’ve ever met (Thanks Indigo for finding her and testing her out for your own wedding LOL!).
I was really worried how my SA would react to this, but everything went fine. She was really so nice and friendly that I was completely at ease the entire shoot and I couldn’t be happier with our pictures.

Eep! I really want to get the first picture as a canvas photo. It’s probably my favorite picture from all of them. If we got over 100 from just an hour worth of photos, I imagine that we’ll have a crazy amount of wedding photos. Now I have an excuse to buy more pictures frames (I have a thing for them. I like to just browse the picture frame section. It drives FI crazy. lol).
One year down, one more to go. Time is flying by. We have all of our vendors booked (except for the tuxes, but we know where we’re getting them from). We’re getting ready to ask the rest of our friends/family to be in our wedding party. It hasn’t really felt real before this. It was over a year away, but now my brain is saying “It’s really happening. In 365 days we’ll be tying the knot.” Eep!
We’re supposed to be getting engagement pictures done on Sunday, but there’s rain in the forecast and our photographer doesn’t like to shoot in the rain so they might not happen again. I’ve never checked the weather report this much before. lol
I might have gotten bored tonight and made all of the bouquets for my wedding. :X Michael’s had a 50% off sale on the last of the materials I needed! I couldn’t help myself. lol
My flowers and the BMs.
All of the bouquets have the same ribbon on the stems. Beauty and the Beast colors. :)
My youngest sister pointed out that the yellow roses for the BM bouquets make a hidden Mickey! I didn’t even notice it!
I might be crazy for already having them done, but with how fast this pst year flew by and knowing that I’m working more and dancing more, I figure get everything done as early as possible! So close to the one year mark!
FI’s cufflinks came in the mail!! I am completely in love with them! I got them for $10 on ebay. I think they’ll be a nice subtle Disney touch. A hidden Mickey! :)

I also found these shirts, which I’m going to buy for us to wear on our honeymoon! :)

(The names on the ones we buy will actually be in order unlike this demo picture.)
Only 473 days to go. Not that I’m counting or anything.
Today, FI and I were supposed to get our engagement pictures done, but we got rained out. :( It’s a little disappointed. But at the same time it’ll give FI a chance to meet more of his weight loss goals and we rescheduled for September (the same weekend we’ll be getting married in 2013). We had a nice date day instead.
And now I need to brag about how awesome Indigo is (again!). She bought us this sign to put near our guest book:

She is the best best friend that a girl could ask for! I love it. It’s perfect!
FI and I got approved for a Disney Visa!! I’m so excited! I’ve been holding off making any payments on my dress because I wanted to earn reward points for it and now I can! I plan on putting $20 every paycheck towards it and it will be payed off by the first fitting. We have to call the DJ and see if we can put the deposit on the card too.
While I doubt we’ll be earning that much extra by the time the wedding rolls around, we’ll probably have enough to get a few drinks and souvenirs we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to get. :)
Ahhh! Too bad I have to wait till next Friday to pay more bills. lol
FI and I met with a possible officiant yesterday. We really don’t want a religious ceremony and it’s surprisingly difficult to find someone to do such a ceremony. I just happened to stumble on this woman’s website and emailed her because she seemed perfect. We hit it off right away AND it turns out that she’s a librarian at the main library of my library system!
We’ve decided that we definitely want her doing our ceremony. We’re getting married in a library by a librarian! How perfect is that?!
To the dress that is. :)
And got better quality pictures of it. I wish I could show them to FI! This is the biggest purchase I’ve ever made and it’s torture not being able to share it with him, so I’ll share it will 43Ters instead. ;)
