OK, so out of like 10 places I looked, 3 places were “accepting applications”.
I filled out an application at Arby’s and Subway, even though I REALLY don’t want to work at a fast food joint. I think the conditions there are pretty gross and unsanitary, although I doubt I’d be tempted to eat there at all.
And then I applied at the Acme grocery store which is my uppermost priority for obvious reasons. I’d take groceries over fast food any day.
I really hope at least one place calls me back. Unemployment’s making me feel really depressed. I need to get out of this rut.
/fingers crossed.
Tomorrow, I’m attempting to go downtown and trying to get my social security card copied.

As I’ve mentioned several times before, I don’t drive and I’m stuck on campus.
I took a three hour hike through a snowstorm just to find a place that was hiring, and there were none, which aggravated me.

So by the looks of it, I’ll be getting my copy of social security card tomorrow, so that means I can start looking for a job very soon.

I’ve not been working for almost 10 months, and unemployment’s getting the worst of me.
You see, I would have a job by now but I lost my social security card and need to get a new one. To do that, I need to go to the office downtown and get a copy before anyone hires me, which shouldn’t be difficult, right?
Wrong.
I can’t drive, so I need to find a way of getting there.
I think that in the meantime, I’m just going to apply to as many places as possible. Maybe if someone calls back, I’ll get off my ass and finally get a copy and I can work. Trust me, finding someone to hire you isn’t hard. Just smile and be polite at interviews.
