be a tourist in my own town

Indianapolis is no laughing matter, and its a lot bigger than a day can do justice. Luckily, I live here, and I know this place, I LOVE this place. I’m not the type that is going to live in the same place forever, but if you asked me where I’m from I’m rather ok with telling you I’m a Hoosier…cause I am.

That being said, I wandered around Fountain Square today as I made my almost daily walk to the library. I took pics of the famous places, got weird looks from ppl, stopped traffic, and wore my travel hat…which would explain the weird looks form ppl…anyway, I’ll post the pics, but I feel this goal is done.

and good at that…I may wait ti out, I need to walk to the library any way, if it lets up to a gentle rain I might go tour Fountain Square….stay tuned for more.

Assuming the Temp agency doesn’t call me back, I will take a self Guided Tour of Indianapolis on Monday. I’ll take lots of pictures of all kinds of stuff and post them up on Flickr. I plan to walk a good deal of it, so expect me to be dog ass tired. I think I’ll park down on the Canal and then work from, the Canal is the pettiest part of Indy and links to almost every where…wish I could ride a bike, that would make that a whole lot easier….

I want to plan this, and have my friend go with me. I want us to dress up in fanny packs and bad shirts and look like proverbial tourists. Then I want to go around downtown taking pictures like a bunch of dweebs. I think it would be a lot of fun, trick is finding time when she can do it.
