....so I’m gonna consider this done!
Every day I’m thankful that I no longer smoke, for my health, my pocket, my daughter and my environment.
The chances of smoking again seem very slim, hope it always stays that way!
Cheers,
Drexl.

For some reason, this time round the giving up smoking thing is really sticking!
I think the smoking ban in pubs is helping, but my attitude towards cigarettes seems to be different this time round. I no longer crave them as a ‘friend’ or ‘crutch’, or something I can’t live without, but am instead seeing them for what they actually are: dirty, expensive and bad for me!

PS – Think I’ll consider this done when I’ve reached £500!
‘put the money in a jar!’ I was advised, that’s all well and good if you have the money to start with!
I’ve been keeping a running total at £5 per day saved at the top of each page of my work diary and it’s probably one of the most helpful things for staying quit.
I used (expensive!) patches for a while to break the habit then just got fed up with buying them and putting them on, so have been clear of nicotine all together for a while now and it feels great.
Not as great as I thought it would, admittedly, but I bet if I lit a cigarette now I’d realise just how much better I feel and how much more awake I am!
At what point can I say that I’ve done this, 6 months, a year, 10 years? help!
Happy 43ing!
Drexl.
