organise my photos

Ok so I had a commitment that my photos would be sorted by camp. The ones that I had printed were so that was a GREAT start. I still need to do quite a bit more to get everything up to scratch but I am happy with where I am up to thus far.

Still to do:
-Buy another powersort box
-I need a LOT more dividers. The Creative Memories ones are out of my budget really so I need to find/make some that ARE within my budget. I need quite a few so have to research what the best option is.
- Organise digital photos properly
-Write extensive notes on digital photos
-Locate photos from family and of family
-Print off hard copies of digital photos
-Put photos into powersort boxes
-Scan my old photos into digital
-Decide what to do with Mum’s photos and organise accordingly.

There may be more but this is a good start :D

I have decided HOW I am going to organise files and I am ready to implement this. I am tackling this as part of my committment missions so there will be a guaranteed 15 mins a day that I will work on this. I also have decided that if my photos aren’t sorted by the beginning of April that I wont be going to scrap camp. This in itself shows how committed I am. I LOVE camp and NOTHING will normally keep me away…

I have boxes of printed photos that are semi organised by theme. I have folders on my computer sorted by theme. I just need to print a few. First I guess I have to decide on the sizes that I want to print the photos.

Ideally I would like to have a computer dedicated to photos. That way I could save the same photos in several areas. For example, I have photos of my cousins saved in Christmas 08 that I would also liked saved in a family file, or better yet one of them. I have NO room on my laptop to do this. Well will see what happens.

Well camp has been and gone. I didn’t get all of them done but it didn’t matter in the end. This is still something that I want to do though so will keep it on my list.

Even if the photos aren’t all printed I NEED to have them saved on disc ready to be printed!

This is the area that I find most difficult when it comes to scrapbooking so I am going to rectify it!

Thing I want to do:
-print out photos off my computer/discs.
-develop a more sophisticated system for storing photos so that there is no damage.
-decide if current photos are going to be scrapped
-scan all photos so I have a copy for reprints
