Duckienz has written 4 entries about this goal

I am up to 16  — 2 weeks ago

I am really happy about this. That said a couple of the areas that I was doing well in previously I have let slip so I need to bring them back to an acceptable level for myself.

Physical Environment: 4
I live in a house/flat that I love This is so true, I have lived here 5 weeks and every day I wake up feeling so blessed it is not funny. I visualised the type of house that I wanted and then I found it. I overcome many obstacles that the landlord had set and I got the house. She even dropped the rent for me. Perfect!!!
I live in the geographical location of my choice
If I had the option I would probably live in italia or somewhere exotic. However I LOVE living in NZ and of all the places that I have lived in or visited Kerikeri is the best place for me. I LOVE it here and it really feels like home.
There is ample and healthy lighting around me
My new house had fantastic light. It comes in on three sides of the house and the side that it doesn’t is only bathrooms and the garage anyway. Even in Winter I love the light.
I consistently have adequate time, space and freedom in my life.
The only problem with this is that I have it because I am not working. That said I am making great use of this time and it has really helped with my health!

Well-Being: 3
I do not smoke tobacco or other substances

I do not use illegal drugs or misuse prescribed medicationsI have had a complete eye examination within the past two years.(Glaucoma check, vision test)
However the areas that I have let myself down in are as follows:
I rarely use caffeine
I rarely eat sugar.
I rarely watch television.
I rarely drink alcohol.
I had a tick in these areas prior but I have started drinking coffee again, even though I am allergic. Sugar hmmm this weekend I consumed so much that I am embarrased. Television I had got to almost zero but my flatmate watches a lot so I have been sitting down with him when I shouldn’t have!!! Alcohol has been an issue. I have drunk more this last couple of months than I had in the previous two years! Although my consumption is less than most people I know, just too much for me to be 100% happy.

Money: 1
Any parking tickets, alimony or child support are paid and current
Hmmm this is only because they took the money automatically out of my account. I need to work on this area!

Relationships: 8
I have told my parents, in the last 3 months, that I love them I do this everytime that I speak to them.
There is no one whom I would dread or feel uncomfortable “bumping into”. (In the street, at an airport or party) I seriously can’t think of anyone.
I have let go of the relationships which drag me down or damage me. (“Let go” means to end, walk away from, declare complete, no longer be attached to) See last entry for more info.
  • have a circle of friends/family who love and appreciate me for who I am, more than just what I do for them.* This is a biggie for me. I have only just recently started to feel that this IS the case.
I receive enough love from people around me to feel good I receive enough to feel great. I would like more and specifically from a special man but generally I am content and feel loved.
I am complete with past loves or spouses feeling good here. I have even put to rest a past hurt that my first boyfriend married one of my bestfriends.
I do not “take personally” the things that people say to me This is huge. I used to be overly sensitive. I realise now that I aren’t anymore. Feeling great!
I spend time with people who don’t try to change me I now have friends who love me as I am. What a cool feeling.

What I want to work on this month:
My personal files, papers, and receipts are neatly filed away. I am sooo close to this, just a few more and then I will be able to mark it as done.
I rarely use caffeine. (Chocolate, coffee, colas, tea) less than 3 times per week, total. I had this down but I have slipped. I want to avoid all caffeine again!

I get along well with my sibling(s).I really want to build my relationship with my stepsister and our brother. Levi is two in a couple of months so that can wait a little while. Rachael however I want to build a closer relationship. Our Dida (gradfather) died yesterday and it reminded me how important family is!

I live on a weekly budget which allows me to save and not suffer – I need to bring more money IN to make this a possibilty. Currently I don’t earn enough to even pay my rent let alone all my bills AND save.
I CAN DO THIS!!!

Ok in order to increase these scores I need to conciously work on the specified areas.  — 5 months ago

My focus at the moment will be:
My personal files, papers, and receipts are neatly filed away.

I am going to plug away at this until it is not only true but going to stay true, ie I have systems in place to avoid future backlog.

I am up to 12!!! yay. This shows me that all my hard work is working  — 6 months ago

I rarely use caffeine. (Chocolate, coffee, colas, tea) less than 3 times per week, total.

I rarely eat sugar. (Less than 3 times per week).

I rarely watch television. (Less than 5 hours per week).

I rarely drink alcohol. (Less than 2 drinks per week)

I do not smoke tobacco or other substances.

I do not use illegal drugs or misuse prescribed medications.

I have had a complete eye examination within the past two years.(Glaucoma check, vision test).

My appliances, machinery and equipment work well. (Fridge, toaster, lawn mower, water heater, hi-fi etc.)

I have told my parents, in the last 3 months, that I love them.

I have let go of the relationships which drag me down or damage me. (“Let go” means to end, walk away from, declare complete, no longer be attached to).

I have NO points in the money section though so I need to work more on this area. A lot of the other areas are nearly there but I want to be 100% honest with myself when I tick something off.

Some of these things will be making there way to my goals list I do believe.

I saw this on another person's list so thought I would take a look.  — 8 months ago

OMG I scored 5, a piddly 5!!! It says that most people score between 30-70. Am I being too honest or to tough on myself??? Hmmm either way that list is a lot of what I am already working on in my life. It is nice to see it in list form like that.

Ok the 5 points are from the following:
- I do not smoke tobacco or other substances.
- I do not use illegal drugs or misuse prescribed medications.
- I have had a complete eye examination within the past two years.(Glaucoma check, vision test).
- I have told my parents, in the last 3 months, that I love them.
- I have let go of the relationships which drag me down or damage me. (“Let go” means to end, walk away from, declare complete, no longer be attached to).

The last one was a biggie for me to tick. I put my biological father in the catagory a couple of years ago but i have finally forgiven him and myself for all the hurt and if I was to see him tomorrow I truly think that I wouldn't have stored up resentment or any issues. That for me is true 'letting go'.

Duckienz has gotten 11 cheers on this goal.
